Essilor subsidiary BBGR has bought German lens maker Rupp & Hubrach for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition, which awaits approval from Germany's competition watchdog, sees BBGR take control of the Rx lab near Dublin and two facilities in Germany. R&H generated sales of E54m (£37m) from its single vision and progressive lenses.
