BCLA announces tear film webinar

A webinar, held by British Contact Lens Association (BCLA), on maintaining healthy tear film has been announced for 6.30pm on Wednesday March 29.

The webinar, ‘Ideal tear ingredients for comfortable contact lens wear’, will be presented by Dr Debarun Dutta and Rachel Casemore, and sponsored by Alcon.

Dr Dutta, lecturer at the Optometry School at Aston University, said: ‘The webinar is designed to detail diagnostic methods of tear film and ocular surface important for comfortable contact lens wear and will discuss the key tear film parameters to monitor during contact lens wear.

‘We will look at the range of acceptable limits of tear film ingredients and their clinical implications as well as staged management and treatment options and future developments and opportunities.’
