BCLA launches myopia management certificate

A certificate in myopia management has been launched by the BCLA

A certificate in myopia management has been launched by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) as part of its activity to increase awareness around the topic.

The online course features six recorded lectures that include evidence-based research which is designed to benefit the practice, colleagues and patients.

Keith Tempany, former BCLA president, said: ‘This programme will create an understanding of myopia and the principles of different management strategies that can reduce the potential ocular health risks that our young and emerging myopes could experience later on in life.’

The certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course and one relevant myopia workshop or peer review, plus a final viva voce-style examination.
