A new series of one-day courses for optical assistants has been launched by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA).
The organisation said the courses recognised the important role that frontline staff played in successful contact lens practice and were suitable for staff who wanted to increase their confidence with contact lenses and support OOs or CLOs.
The BCLA has enlisted the help of optometrist and staff development consultant Sarah Morgan to run the ‘Contact lenses – the ins and outs’ courses, which begin on March 19 at the Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel in London.
It will be a friendly and fun day – and I promise you’ll return to your practice enthusiastic and invigorated about contact lenses and patient care,’ said Morgan.
The course costs £120 for BCLA members who book on behalf of their staff before January 31 and £180 for non-members. Places are limited to 24.
