BCLA live-streams lecture

Diagnosis and treatment of uveitis is topic of lecture

The British Contact Lens Association has live streamed a lecture for the very first time.

Concerning the diagnosis and treatment of uveitis, the lecture allowed hundreds of BCLA members to access the content online from across the world.

Delivered by Professor Teifi James, the presentation was recorded at the Royal College of Nursing in London and broadcast through the BCLA’s website.

Keith Tempany, BCLA president, said: ‘We want our events, and the content shared at those events, to be available to as many of our members as possible and live streaming is something we have been looking at for a while.’

Tempany said the organisation wanted to be ‘pioneers’ and that the latest move was further evidence of it ‘leading the way in offering more for our members’.
