BCLA offers peer review

Contact lenses

An offer has been made by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) to stage free CET workshops and peer review sessions for practices.

Members were invited to contact the association with a suggested workshop topic and location, a selection of dates, and the names of at least five other attendees.

Possible workshop topics included multifocals, RGPs, soft torics, hayfever, keratoconus, and a contact lens case record peer review discussion, the BCLA said. It would provide the presenter and organise CET accreditation and registrations.

Susan Bowers, chair of the BCLA education committee, said: 'Traditionally, our London CET workshops are always oversubscribed but we have struggled to fill our regional workshops. This is all set to change with "BCLA to go", which will be available all year round.'

and provide BCLA members with yet further opportunities for continuing education, peer discussion and networking.'

Each two-hour workshop, held between 6-8pm, would involve a maximum of 12 participants with a cost of £80 for non-members to attend.
