BCLA to discuss futuristic CLs

Professor Lyndon Jones of the University of Waterloo, Canada, and Professor Eric Papas of the Brien Holden Vision Institute, Australia, will deliver a presentation on the subject at the BCLA's 2012 Clinical Conference and Exhibition. They will also cover areas including biosensing, drug device delivery and nanotechnology.

The BCLA stated: 'The association is aware of ongoing research in the field of computerised contact lens technology and other applications outside the realms of everyday contact lens practice.' However, the BCLA has decided against funding research into the computerised contact lens field for the time being.
