BCLA to host first ever awards

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) will be hosting the first ever BCLA Awards at its annual Clinical Conference and Exhibition.

Categories will include Dry Eye Practitioner of the Year, Young Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year and the BCLA President’s Award for those who have made a significant contribution to the contact lens profession.

BCLA president Brian Tompkins said: ‘The industry is full of incredible talent and these awards will help to recognise that, giving people the perfect platform to showcase their talents and get the accolades they so thoroughly deserve.’

Held at the ACC in Liverpool on June 9-11, the clinical conference includes workshops, a 40th anniversary dinner and talks from eye care professionals about the future of contact lenses.
