ABDO and BCLA have announced that they are to collaborate on a special contact lens and anterior eye symposium at this year’s ABDO conference in Manchester on September 20.

Eleven CET points will be on offer at the symposium, which will cover topics including new advances in contact lens comfort; the management of Demodex mites in high street practice; a spectacle lens update for CLOs and the delivery of specialist contact lens services focusing on patients with early keratoconus.

‘The symposium will provide an opportunity for CLOs and trainee CLOs to broaden their knowledge and will be a great addition to the wider programme on offer at the conference,’ said ABDO head of professional services and international development Elaine Grisdale.
