BCLA webinar explores scleral lens fitting lessons

British Contact Lens Association announced a scleral lens webinar on October 16, exploring lessons in managing corneal and ocular surface disease with scleral lenses.

BCLA presenter Dr John Gelles aimed to advise on managing high-risk patients and said: 'This rapid case-based lecture will focus on good and bad outcomes, reviews of the peer-reviewed literature supporting or refuting our choices, and the pearls we learned that apply to any practitioner, no matter the skill level.'

The one-hour session was worth one CPD point and was open to all.

Dr Gelles is the director of the specialty contact lens division of the Cornea and Laser Eye Institute and the CLEI Center for Keratoconus in Teaneck, New Jersey.
