BIB Ophthalmic Instruments has reached an agreement with Spanish company MDS Medical Technologies to distribute the new Thermaeye Plus intense pulse light (IPL) device in the UK.
Tim Baker, director at BIB, said: ‘We are delighted to now be part of the IPL community, which is currently seeing a rapid growth uptake for the treatment of dry eye disease and derma-related conditions.
‘The new Thermaeye Plus IPL fits nicely into the UK IPL market providing a middle ground solution that didn’t really exist before. This competitively priced IPL solution sits between the cartridge-based pay as you go dry eye only treatment devices and the top end IPL dry eye/derma devices.’
