BiB Ophthalmic Instruments is to distribute the Talia RTA 3 retinal screening device in the UK.

The RTA 3 allows optometrists to offer retinal photography, nerve fibre analysis, retinal/macular thickness screening and follow-up analysis. Stroke assessment software, the VLS analyser, allows retinal/vein ratio analysis. 'The RTA 3 screens for early detection of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and ARMD, pathologies which now represent 80 per cent of blindness in the world today,' said Tim Baker, CEO of BiB.

A practice marketing package offers a waiting room/front of shop DVD, camera-ready artwork, patient leaflets and recall letters, press release templates and Q&A sheets. Baker described the RTA 3 as a practice differentiator, available on a pay per examination arrangement.
