Big Give hits £10k target

Vision Aid Overseas has exceeded its £10,000 target set for the charity’s Big Give Christmas Challenge.

For the third year running, online donations to VAO were doubled by the charity during the challenge period earlier this month, culminating in a grand total of £10,084.

The charity said it had raised enough money to send out 10 team leader volunteers next year.

Jeremy Jalie, VAO development director, said: ‘Thank you to all our donors and supporters, we are extremely lucky to have such an incredible group of people supporting our work and giving us the chance to change lives through the power of good sight.
