Following major investment in its Edinburgh flagship, Scottish multiple Black and Lizars last week posted group profits of £252,187 for the financial year ending September 2015.
Last year the Glasgow-based company invested £500,000 on the Edinburgh store with the addition of ultra-wide scanners, called Optomaps, and the latest audiology equipment.
Black and Lizars own 23 practices in Scotland and one in Belfast. It also announced a 3% increase in turnover, bringing total turnover to £14.3m.
This announcement on profits follows the appointment of Michelle Le Provost as managing director in March 2016.
Le Provost said: ‘We are always on the lookout to expand into key geographical locations throughout Scotland and, indeed, England if the right opportunities arise.’
