Scottish independent group Black & Lizars has confirmed the addition of four new stores in the past year with a combined turnover of £3m.
The company acquired Kilgour optometrists in Ayr and Troon in December 2012 and has more recently completed the purchase of Peter Fernie opticians in Clarkston and Occuleye in Helensburgh.
It follows plans announced last October to invest up to £10m on a major practice expansion over two years (News 12.10.12). The additional outlets take Black & Lizars to a total of 27 practices.
Black & Lizars CEO Mark Ross said: ‘Black & Lizars continues to differentiate itself from other volume-driven, high street competitors by rolling out the most advanced eye care technology on the market.
