The US-based parent company of Bushnell Sports Optics and Voit Sports completed the deal just months after it was acquired by private equity firm Wind Point Partners last year. As a result of the acquisition, Bollé will join the company's existing portfolio which includes telescopes and binoculars by Voit, Bushnell and Bausch & Lomb. Joe Messner, Worldwide Sports & Recreation chief executive officer, said: 'Bringing Bollé into our family of products is a major step towards extending our portfolio of leading brands worldwide. 'Because we target the same active lifestyle consumer and utilise similar technologies, the acquisition of Bollé will be very complementary to our other brands.' Bollé chairman Martin E Franklin commented: 'Through this agreement, we believe that we will not only be delivering significant value to our shareholders, but also that the company will be able to continue to implement its current growth strategies. 'We are confident that they will continue to develop Bollé into a globally recognised active lifestyle brand.' A spokesman for Bollé Sunglasses said that although the deal was still in its early stages, he did not expect long-term company changes to be introduced as a result of the acquisition.
