Alliance Boots has announced that Boots UK has acquired a 49 per cent stake in David Ormerod Hearing Centres (DOHC) - the Sonova subsidiary which operates the multiple's hearing care services in the UK.
On the acquisition, Alex Gourlay, chief executive health and beauty division Alliance Boots said: 'This agreement further builds on our investment in the UK, as well as our commitment to help improve health in the local communities we serve. Partnering with Sonova ensures that our customers can readily access world leading hearing care technology and services as part of our integrated healthcare offer in the UK.'
The multiple said it now has over 340 hearing care practices within its Boots Opticians practices across the UK.
