Boots is a top place to work

Boots Opticians has been placed sixth in the Sunday Times list of top 25 best large companies to work for, with Boots UK placed at number 18.

As part of the judging process, over 8,000 Boots UK and Boots Opticians employees were surveyed. Nearly 1,000 businesses participated in the competition's four categories.

Boots Opticians highlighted the merger with Dollond & Aitchison, and the fact that 68 per cent of staff are excited about where the company is going. As well as positives in team-building activities and a bonus scheme based on team performance, it concluded that managing director Andy Ferguson, who hosts a weekly business briefing at head office, is approachable and has the faith of the workforce at 64 per cent.
