A pre-reg optometrist accused of inappropriately 'touching' a 14-year-old girl during an eye examination at Boots Opticians in Harlow faces a Crown Court trial, charged with sexually touching her.
Harbhajan Singh of Southall, Middlesex, pleaded not guilty to the offence at Harlow Magistrates Court on December 14. Magistrates remanded him on unconditional bail until February 9 to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court, for committal proceedings.
Details of the alleged incident, from October 3 2006, emerged at a GOC hearing and he was charged with the offence on December 5.
