An appeal has been made for participants for a research study on colour blindness being conducted by The University of Bradford Optometry and Vision Sciences.
The university has appealed for female participants with normal colour vision and a sibling or child with a colour vision deficiency, to take part in a short PhD research study.
Following the study, the goal is to develop an objective test of retinal function to assess colour vision deficiencies.
Colour blindness affects approximately 1 in 12 males and 1 in 200 females, researchers estimated.
