Kirk Originals has adopted bespectacled boffin Brains from the Thunderbirds as the model for its new frames to coincide with his return to television.
Brains will be seen on BBC2 this autumn when the television series returns to British screens for the first time in seven years. 'Brains has always been an icon in the eyewear scene and to see him coming back to television is great,' says designer Jason Kirk. 'Generally fashion eyewear trends are moving towards a strong colourful look, as championed by Brains. For men's frames this season, think big, bold and blue.'
