Members of the 3rd Oulton Rainbows, Brownies and Guides Group are benefitting from 100 high visibility vests for outdoor activities donated by Observatory the Opticians, which has practices in Southwold, Beccles and Ipswich, Suffolk.
Brown Owl Pat Whittaker, said: ‘The girls are delighted to have received their vests and we are grateful to Observatory the Opticians for the donation. We take the health and safety of our girls very seriously and this donation will make our job as leaders just a little easier. The vests will be used when we go out on walks and other outside activities, and when teaching girls road safety for their road safety badge.’
Jacqui Sayer, practice manager at Observatory the Opticians, which has already donated vests to more than 20 schools, community groups and pre-school nurseries, said: ‘We hope our campaign will help the children to remain safe when facing potential dangers when taking part in outdoor activities.’
