Optical trade body The FMO has announced the appointment of Bryony Pawinska as its chief executive from the beginning of next year.

Pawinska’s experience in the profession includes spending 12 years as chief executive of The College of Optometrists.

FMO chairman Barry Dibble said: ‘Bryony brings with her a wealth of executive management experience and an unparalleled knowledge of the optical market, all of which will be brought to bear for the good of FMO members.

‘The FMO board is looking forward to working closely with Bryony to develop and improve a prosperous environment for our members. On behalf of our Directors and membership we welcome Bryony to our organisation.’
