Practitioners north of the border are being asked to contribute £67 towards the work of Optometry Scotland.
Two years ago the body asked for £55 towards its work, which has primarily been taken up by the GOS contract negotiated with the Scottish Executive. The contract has been praised within the profession, and an OS spokeswoman told Optician now was the time for practitioners to support its work
Optometry Scotland has been previously supported by the optical bodies which financed its establishment and its first year running expenses.
