Cardiff University has been accredited by the College of Optometrists to deliver its professional certificate in medical retina.
The qualification will be delivered via 14 distance learning lectures, three webinars and three practical training days.
Cardiff has collaborated with hospital optometrists from diabetic screening services and medical retina clinics to develop the course, which will be delivered by ophthalmologists and optometrists.
