Carl Zeiss Vision aims to be more supportive of independent opticians according to commercial director Keith Cockram who addressed 100 practitioners in London's Spitalfields last week.
In the final of six events where the GT2 3D lens was launched to 500 practitioners, he said the independent was CZV's traditional base and it had to consolidate that. 'The patient is looking for a more discerning approach as the market gets more competitive and we hope to be a supportive partner to independents.'
As a result CZV has developed the 'One Vision' partnership programme, where independents can accumulate points to use against business and marketing initiatives. 'We're a very human organisation and we want to make that part of the business open to the independent,' he said, adding that the CZV was now over the final hurdles of its merger.
