Carl Zeiss biography published to mark founder's birthday
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of founder Carl Zeiss’s birth on September 11, his company has produced a biography of his life.
It was written by the head of Zeiss archives, Dr Wolfgang Wimmer, and historian Stephan Paetrow. Previously there was relatively little known about the life of the founder but the writers sourced an archived ledger that contained unpublished records of the company’s income between 1848 and 1863. The biography is available on Amazon.
