Carl Zeiss Vision extends AR coating range

Carl Zeiss Vision has bolstered its range of DuraVision coatings with the launch of an anti-reflective treatment.

DuraVision Silver sits below the premium DuraVision Platinum and features oleophobic and super-hydrophobic coatings to aid cleaning and allow fluid and dirt to bead and roll off lenses.

The lenses also offer better anti-reflective properties, with its blue reflex colour said to produce more than 20 per cent less luminous reflectance than conventional green AR-coated Zeiss lenses. Carl Zeiss said seven out of 10 practitioners  preferred the bluish residual reflection over the greenish hue.
