Carl Zeiss Vision has extended its range of occupational ophthalmic lenses with the release of the Zeiss Officelens portfolio

ZEISS-office-lensesCarl Zeiss Vision has extended its range of occupational ophthalmic lenses with the release of the Zeiss Officelens portfolio.

The new freeform lenses can be tailored to the needs of the patient and according to the company, promote the adoption of a relaxed and natural body posture when undertaking occupational viewing tasks. Zeiss added that the lenses provided very large fields of vision from near to intermediate viewing distances and enabled patients to experience the required range of vision for their activity.

Binocular balancing of the progressive zone also enabled better spatial perception.

The top tier Officelens Individual option has a specific maximum intermediate distance (MID) which can be tailored to the needs of the patient in a range from 100cm to 400cm.

In addition, the patient’s centration data, near working distance and spectacle frame dimensions are used within the design of the lenses during production. This type of individualisation makes the new lenses a good solution for applications that require specific working distances.

Two additional performance tiers are available, providing opticians with a wider dispensing choice. Officelens Plus and officelens Superb designs are available in three MIDs for visual comfort, from reading distance to fixed MIDs of 100cm, 200cm and 400cm.
