The London-based Moorfields Eye Hospital has received a £150,000 donation from healthcare cash plan provider, HSA (Hospital Saving Association). The money will go towards the establishment of a dedicated paediatric unit at Moorfields Hospital. Moorfields chairman Sir Thomas Boyd-Carpenter collected the cheque from HRH Princess Alexandra at the Charitable TrustÕs annual scholarship awards held at Dorchester Hotel, London last month. Moorfields, with The Institute of Ophthalmology, forms the largest concentration of treatment, research and teaching facilities for eye care in the world.
