Cazal Eyewear is celebrating the 30th anniversary of distributing its eyewear worldwide, from Passua to Tokyo, Nice, Seoul and New York.
The company said that the demand from a basic Cazal wearer for a special pair of glasses was the same the world over. 'Cazals must stand out from the rest.'
Cazal, popular among trend-setters in Japan and London, also sells well in France, especially its plastic models. The company commented that it had a lasting ability to occupy a particular market niche. 'In the ups and downs of fashion trends, Cazal has been hip, en vogue, out of fashion, strictly for older people, eye-catching, sophisticated, strident - but never boring,' it said.
Cazal added that it had done its own thing, irrespective of the trends, creating a style that was popular even after 30 years.
