Stars gathered last month to celebrate the reopening of Kensington optometrist Daska Barnett's independent practice, Specs of Kensington.
The business has more than doubled in size, going from 400sq ft to 1,100sq ft, and now has two consulting rooms and a pre-screening room.
Pop diva Sophie Ellis Bextor (centre) joined with her ex-Blue Peter presenter mother Janet Ellis (left) and Barnett herself (right) to help boost the new practice which is a mere 50 metres from the old Earl's Court Road premises. Wine guru Oz Clarke was also on hand to celebrate Specs' new building.
Barnett told OPTICIAN: 'The business is 21 years young this year, and with our relocation we have doubled our practice space. Who said independent optometry is dying out?'
