
Community Health and Eye Care (Chec) announced the opening of a new West Bromwich ophthalmology hospital in autumn 2024, which aimed to relieve pressure on NHS waiting times.
Located at the Farley Centre, the facility has been fitted with an ophthalmology theatre and endoscopy suite and is said to strengthen Chec’s existing West Midlands stronghold, which already includes Coventry, Kings Norton, and Worcester.
Jose Bailey, chief commercial officer at Chec, said: ‘For well over a decade, we’ve been trusted by the NHS to deliver healthcare services free of charge in the community, and we can’t wait to open our doors in West Bromwich.
