Transitions Optical has launched the Children's Cataract Calculator, an online tool to help educate parents of the risk of a child developing cataract later in life.
The eye care practitioner asks a few questions about lifestyle and any hereditary health problems, which are entered online. The instant risk assessment shows the child's likelihood of developing cataract, with suggestions of easy measures to reduce the risk, which can be printed out.
The calculator, accessed at the Children's Corner of the website below, is part of the Eye Know Eye Care campaign.
