Optometrist Chris Ramsdale last month ran the 10k Great Manchester Run for the first time and raised over £400 for Optometry Giving Sight.
She completed the race in 65 minutes and 47 seconds and said: 'It is not only a great personal achievement, but has raised funds for such a good cause in the process.
I'll have to do another race and aim for 60 minutes next time.' Ramsdale thanked friends, colleagues and the optical industry for their generous support for Optometry Giving Sight.
