More than 200 eye care practitioners submitted stories on how contact lenses have changed their patients' lives to CIBA Vision's Changing Lives competition, with optometry graduate Simon Kaneria the winner of the iPad prize draw.
The prize draw was launched at CIBA's Big Fit roadshows as part of its Fit for Life programme, launched last year to help practitioners fit young wearers with contact lenses and retain them for life.

She added that Kaneria's story of a high myope who was successfully fitted with monthly lenses was particularly poignant.
