CIBA Vision lens solutions back on the market

CIBA Vision’s lens care solutions are back on the market in the UK after being out of supply since the end of 2005 due to problems at the company’s Canadian manufacturing site.

CIBA Vision said this week that AOSept Plus, Focus Aqua and AQuify were now available to order again.

And parent company Novartis noted in its half-year financial results, also out this week, that: ‘The CIBA Vision lens care manufacturing facility is running at capacity, with all lines back in production and shipments resuming.’

The problem started in late 2005 when, according to the company, due to human error, a non-sterile lubricant was used in the production process at the manufacturing plant.
