Clearlab's new managing director Darren Hall (left) is keen to reassure practitioners of the company's commitment to the UK.
Hall, who will be based in Singapore where Clearlab has a state-of-the-art volume contact lens manufacturing plant, has taken over from Graham Mullis who led the company from 2002. 'We will continue to maintain a direct customer service presence in the UK.
We are currently developing our European customer services team at our Basingstoke centre, following the proposed closure of UK production in Plymouth.'
He added that the company would be maintaining a healthy inventory of lenses within the UK.
