Cleethorpes Specsavers staff get on their bikes for charity

Two staff members at Specsavers in Cleethorpes are to cycle from London to Paris for the Teenage Cancer Trust having never cycled regularly before.

Trainee DO Lucy Bell and administrator Katie Sandall will start their ride at Crystal Palace in London on Wednesday, July 19, and are scheduled to finish at the Eiffel Tower four days later.

The pair decided to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust after Bell’s cousin passed away from bone cancer in December 2016, aged just 16. They are hoping to raise £3,000 by the end of April 2017 but Bell says they have only just started distance cycling ready for the trip.
