The lecture programme for the British Contact Lens Association Clinical Conference in Brighton has been approved by the GOC for 17 CET points, 14.5 of which are contact lens specific.
Clinical workshops running concurrently with the first day's lectures have each been awarded 1.5 points and for five of the six workshops these are contact lens points.
For the first time, points will be awarded for viewing the posters and successfully answering questions on the poster content. Delegates attending the poster session on the Saturday of the conference can earn up to three more points towards their CET requirement. Extra points have also been sought for the new optician/BCLA picture quiz that will take place in the exhibition and poster areas.
The lecture programme also has COPE accreditation for participation by US optometrists (eight hours in total) and CME approval for medical delegates.
Almost 700 delegates have already registered to attend the conference, which runs from June 3-5 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel, and only two stand spaces for the exhibition remain. Accommodation at the conference hotel is now fully booked but rooms are available at other hotels nearby.
