Coating for a cleaner finish

The Kodak Clean 'n' Clear coated finished single vision stock lens range is now available in 1.498, 1.56, 1.6 and 1.67 index lenses.

The coating is hydrophobic, including oleophobic properties, which Signet Armorlite said meant that the Kodak Clean 'n' Clear coating was 10 times easier to clean than a lens with a standard AR coating.

'The oleophobic properties not only make the lenses easier to clean, but improve durability by providing a smoother lens surface, which repels water and grease,' added the company.
