Code cracked at AIO event

A new code has been launched for independent practitioners by the Association for Independent Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians (AIO).

It was announced at the AIO Conference held in Nottingham, in what was described as the ‘biggest and one of the best’ conferences in the AIO’s history.

A roundtable discussion also took place, which was led by conference committee chairman Nigel Burnett Hodd. It also featured Chris Hunt, chairman of the Optical Confederation, Lyndon Taylor, immediate past chairman of AOP, Peter Black, president of ABDO, David Parkins, president of the College of Optometrists, David Hewlett, chief executive of FODO, and the AIO chairman Peter Warren.
