Mincher Lockett & Co. Opticians, a fashion-focused opticians practice in Market Drayton, has collected 475 pairs of old, disused glasses for Vision Aid Overseas. The practice also pledged £10 to the charity for every new pair of glasses sold, raising £420 in total.
Vision Aid Overseas recycle unused glasses for their precious metal content or sell them on, using the funds raised to support their sight saving programmes overseas.
Optometrist and practice co-owner at Mincher Lockett & Co. Sam Davé commented: ‘We are extremely pleased with how many pairs of eyewear we have collected from the good people of Market Drayton for Vision Aid Overseas.’
