Central Hall Westminster was the venue for this year's College of Optometrists diploma ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by 700 guests last week, who welcomed 300 newly qualified optometrists into the profession.
There was also the award of higher diplomas, research excellence awards, fellowships and life and honorary fellowships for more experienced practitioners.
New higher qualifications in glaucoma and independent prescribing examinations were presented for the first time, with 40 awarded altogether.
Jackie Martin, director of education at the College, said: 'I was delighted to see so many of those who have achieved higher qualifications attend the ceremony. These qualifications present an excellent opportunity for practitioners to stretch their capabilities and develop their careers.'
