The College of Optometrists has released advice on how to prepare for local lockdowns. Citing the possibility that it may not be able to respond quickly in case of a sudden local lockdown, the College stated that practitioners should refer to its pre-existing Covid-19 pandemic guidance table.
The table includes guidance for different stages of the pandemic, stating that these ‘may fluctuate between states on a national or local level’. Its red column contains appropriate guidelines for a local lockdown, explained the College.
The College highlighted that its members should follow existing guidance and confirm news of any local lockdown with a trusted source, such as a local council.
