New council members at the College of Optometrists have been announced.
Clare Pearce and Grant Robinson have been elected as College Council members for Wales, Hassnain Safdar in the East Midlands, Meera Shah in London, Professor Robert Harper in the North West region and Prof Kathryn Saunders in Northern Ireland.
The Council members for the North East, Scotland, South East, West Midlands and the Yorkshire and Humber region have been re-elected.
President of the College of Optometrists Professor Edward Mallen said: ‘I would like to congratulate all the successful candidates and I look forward to welcoming them to the College Council. Our Council sets the strategic and professional direction of the College and as we’re developing the College’s new strategic plan this year, it’s more important than ever to have connected and engaged members that will bring the views of our members from their region.’
