As part of Optrafair’s education programme the College of Optometrists is supporting a lecture by Kathryn Saunders, Professor of Optometry and Vision Science and Head of Optometry, University of Ulster. The lecture will look at the importance of refractive development and its use to explore why correction of refractive error in children is important, when it’s appropriate and, if corrected, by how much.
In a separate lecture Daniel Hardiman-McCartney, Clinical Adviser for the College of Optometrists, will explore some commonly asked questions from the College’s membership. The talk will demonstrate how the College’s Guidance for Professional Practice helps members navigate ethical and clinical challenges in day-to-day practice.
