Artificial intelligence (AI) and myopia were among the key topics on the agenda at Optometry Tomorrow, which takes place at Telford International Centre on April 28-29, 2024.

The College of Optometrists’ event is in its 20th year and will be held in collaboration with the British Contact Lens Association to provide greater access to continuing professional development (CPD).

Gabrielle Mouterde, head of events at the College, said: ‘We have an incredible programme. Alongside future-facing lectures, attendees will have a huge amount of hands-on workshops, discussion workshops, interactive sessions and industry-lead talks to choose from.’

Professor Pearce Keane will present the keynote lecture on Transforming Eyecare with AI, which will explain how widespread adoption of the technology could enable ophthalmologists to spend more time treating patients with complex eye diseases.
