The College of Optometrists announced its new council members for 2015-2016 at its AGM which took place during the Optometry Tomorrow conference in Brighton. Dr Leon Davies FCOptom will become representative for West Midlands members and Dr Parth Shah MCOptom joins as Council member for the Eastern region.
Dr Davies is currently the director of research and a readier in Optometry and Physiological Optics at Aston University as well as serving as an editorial board member for the College’s CPD journal, Optometry in Practice.
Dr Shah owns an independent practice in East Anglia and also works as a vision consultant to a professional football club in London. He has previously locumed and acted as a secondary grader of diabetic retinopathy in Homerton Hospital in London.
