Colour Blind Awareness Day

Optical Express highlights Colour Blind Awareness Day

Optical Express has been raising awareness of Colour Blind Awareness Day by hiding three famous faces in an Ishihara plate test.

The multiple developed the images for the awareness day on September 6, which featured Prince William, Bill Clinton and Bono.

If someone is unable to identify the people in the Ishihara plate test, then they may have a form of colour blindness.

Clinical services director at Optical Express Stephen Hannan said: ‘We want to raise awareness of this condition as, even though it is physically harmless, sufferers can feel stigmatised. Talking about it with a fun yet informative Ishihara test helps to remove this stigma and provides more information which will help those who struggle to distinguish between certain colours lead a normal and unrestricted life.’
